LEARNING RIGHT TECHNOLOGIES IN THE COMMUNITY

This section contains some of the community projects that have recently given us the opportunity to contribute to the community.

Silicon Valley African Productions:  We currently help to produce a one-hour weekly educational and African cultural show (African Television) aimed at giving people of African descent a sense of belonging, enhanced self esteem, and uplifting their positive image at the same time.  The show is usually presented by Silicon Valley Future Stars program participants. It is a good opportunity to give local African American youth, professionals, and entrepreneurs a positive spotlight on television.  We hope to extend our services to other cities in the United States.

Enyimba Connect-the Schools Project: We coordinated the acquisition and shipping of donated computer systems and accessories, books, and hospital supplies to rural schools and hospitals in Nigeria.

Bay Area Committee on African Education: We are helping the team to design an inclusive curriculum that will include African in the Exchange Students and Campus Abroad Programs in the Community Colleges in the Bay Area of California.

Ezinwanne Cultural Group: Ezi Nwanne (Meaning: Soul Sibling) Cultural Group is a group of friends that decided to share their African cultural heritage through dance. The members are youth of African descent from various cities in Santa Clara County of California.

We  help to teach African dance to kids in San Jose.  Their choreography is high-energy cultural dance combinations from the East-Central part of Nigeria.  Their performances have captivated their audiences at many community events like Kwanzaa, Black History Month Festival, Juneteenth Festival, and other Multicultural Festivals.

Santa Clara County Alliance of Black Educators (SCCABE): We help to encourage parental involvement and mentoring programs.
